Wine Tasting
We offer a large selection of wines for tasting in our tasting
room. The cost is $8 per person for a selection of up to 5 different wines
for a serving of 1 oz per wine. Regular tastings do not require a
reservation and are offered during business hours. NOTE: Groups larger
than 8 people need to call the winery ahead of their arrival.
Private tastings with
the winemaker and a tour of the facilities which includes education on
the winemaking process, viewing of the press pad, tank room
and barrel area are offered for groups of 10
or more for a price of $20/person. Private tastings take
approximately 1 1/2 hours and require advanced
reservations. Selection of wines is up to the winery staff.

Orange Muscat 2005 |
Notes of apricots,
peach and sweet orange. A perfect summer wine that should be served
chilled.

Pinot Gris 2006
|
Delicately fragrant and mildly floral with lightly lemon-citrus
flavors. This wine is tangy and light and a perfect companion to
seafood and light dishes.

Chardonnay
Reserve 2006 |
This toasty Chardonnay was barrel fermented in French Oak and aged 9
months. The more subtle fruit flavors of this wine suggest pear and ripe
apple. The long finish, due to extended contact with the lees during
fermentation, shows hints of creamy vanilla. It has a soft, smooth, buttery
aftertaste. Goes well with Salmon, Tuna and any other grilled fish.

Sangiovese
2006
|
A
medium body Chianti with flavors of sour cherry, red
currant and light red raspberry with lively acidy makes this a
perfect match for Italian cuisine. Goes with
lamb, pasta and poultry dishes. |

Heritage Red |
A blend of Cabernet, Syrah and Grenache. The Cabernet
contributes focused tannins and structured acidity while the Syrah
adds jammy fruit and ripeness. The Grenache adds smoky notes on the
nose and some spice in the finish. Goes with
pork, and Italian dishes |

Syrah
2006 |
Initial notes of
earth and ink, open to attractive aromas of pepper, blueberry and
sweet oak. Medium weight with good acidity, the wine gives off some
smoke and nutmeg notes on the nose. The tannins are soft but support
the finish well. Pair with lamb and pasta. |
Merlot 2006
|
An initial nose of tea and roses give way to notes of black cherry,
plums and violets which lead into a wine that is perfect for dinning
table.
Goes with red pasta
and beef dishes, lamb or pork. |
Tempranillo
2005
|
It's the most
emphatically Spanish of all of our wines, with earthy scents of wild
herb, wild cherry, and plum. Powerful and gripping on the palate, with
flavors of black cherry jam laced with herbs, and plenty of youthful
tannin on the back end.

Rouge Cuve |
A wonderful blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon 2006, 5%
Petit Verdot 2006, and 15% Syrah 2006. Ruby red in color with
purplish reflections, this wine brims over with buoyant, fresh
youthfulness on the nose, with classic notes of red and black berry
fruits. Goes with pork and meats.

Three Brothers |
A perfect balance of Tempranillo, Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon
make a full-body wine with notes of oak, deep blackberry and dark
cherry.

Bruiser's Red |
Notes of cola, cedar and cassis with good acidity
matched by fresh blackcurrants and toasty oak with a smokey cinnamon
finish. Superb chalky tannins. Goes with beef
stews, pork and lamb. |
Cabernet Sauvignon 2006
|
This wine has flavors of ripe black
current and blackberry which give way to plum and black
cherry. A classic and elegant Cabernet Sauvignon it will continue to
age for up to a decade. Goes
with chocolate, lamb and prime beef. |

Bin 45 Bid Red |
On the nose, luscious blackberry and dark cherry teases you along
with touches of black pepper and oak. The finish lingers with toasty oak and
lush fruit. Soft tannins make this a wine that is ready to drink now but can
age an additional 3 or 4 years. Goes with lamb, pork
and duck. |
Zinfandel 2006
|
Hints of chocolate
along with cassis, pepper and aromas of toasted nuts. On the palate
the wine is ripe and flavorful with notes of blueberry, sweet plum
and spice. The finish is rich berry character and layers of spice
and chocolate. Goes with ribs, burgers, pizza
and moderately spicy dishes. |
Decadencia
(Semi-sweet)

Notes of
vanilla, cinnamon, cassis with hints of oak. A perfect wine to end a
good meal.

Ramos Chardonnay 06 |
Our finest Chardonnay with a smooth taste that includes subtle fruit
flavors such as pineapple and green apple. The finish is long,
showing hints of butterscotch and vanilla. Perfect for a hot summer
day and a great pairing with delicate seafood.
Goes with seafood and delicate white flesh fish. |
Syrah
Reserve 2005
|
In the nose, warm, inviting aromas of lavish black fruits mingle
with scents of pepper, licorice, brown spices, cocoa and toasty oak.
On the dense, concentrated palate, blackberry and black raspberry
flavors gain structure and depth from ripe, seamlessly integrated
tannins.
Goes
with hearty repasts, especially grilled and
barbecued meats and hearty stews like the French classic, cassoulet. |

Merlot 2004 |
A special Merlot aged for 38 months in small casks. Medium body with
hints of smoke, vanilla and light oak in the back of the palate.
Allow this wine to settle for about 15 minutes after opening the
bottle in order to the get full effect of its flavors.
Goes with steaks and pork chops. |

Petit Syrah 06 |
This is a big, mouth filling wine with heady aromas
of blackberry preserves, raspberries, cassis and chocolate followed
by a long finish on the palate with faint hints of cedar and
tobacco. |

Petit Verdot 2006 |
Dark, ripe, and
purple in color this wine entices with bold aromas of blueberry,
violet, clove, and spice. This wine has a rich palate of black
cherry and cola, with silky mocha and soft oak elements on the
lingering finish. Ripe, full tannins round out this delicious wine.

Cabernet Sauvignon Special Barrel
Selection 2005
|
The elegant structure of this wine is presaged by its garnet hue and
expressive aromas of black fruits with a hint of licorice. The palate
lingers with a complex of currants, black cherry, and earthy blueberry
with notions of graphite, crushed mineral and dark
chocolate. This wine will reveal exceptional complexity upon decanting
or will reward extended cellaring.

Ramos Private Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2005
|
This is a Cabernet Sauvignon from the High Plains
appellation in West Texas. The dark ruby-colored 2005 Ramos Cabernet
Sauvignon resembles a classic Bordeaux both in aromatics and flavor. A rich
bouquet of cinnamon, spice, licorice, and caramel are followed by layers of
cherry, currant, fresh cream and balanced, sweet tannin, all of which create
a youthful, wonderful, multi-layered wine. It is a beautiful wine!

The
Concept 2004
|
Aged
the first two years in one and two year old American oak barrels carefully
selected for their unique quality, the wine was transferred to neutral
French oak barrels in early 2007. The 2004 vintage produced a wine with
blackberry and blueberry aromas that have a seductive spice, followed by
velvety tannins, roundness in the finish and outstanding texture, all of
which are superbly integrated into a world class wine.

The
Concept II 2005 |
Following on the
footsteps of the Concept I, this wine was aged three years in small
American and French oak barrels. The 2005 vintage produced a wine
with dark berry notes, followed by soft tannins, long in the finish
and great texture. Open 30 minutes before serving. Will age for 10
years and more under proper cellaring conditions.

Ramos Zinfandel 06 |
Made from 128 year old vines from the Cucamonga AVA,
the nose starts tight, but with air hints of chocolate emerge along
with cassis and aromas of toasted nuts. On the palate the wine is
ripe and flavorful with hints of blueberry, sweet plum and spice.
Goes with lamb, pork and wild game. |
Late Harvest Zinfandel Port
|
Decadent aromas of dark chocolate, blackberry and caramel are
evident. A warm hint of hazelnut is also present.
Goes with chocolate and blue cheeses. |
